Bolo rods are popular on deep rivers, particularly on the continent where, with standard rods, you would literally be out of your depth. They allow you to fish lighter floats further out in deeper swims. They are generally telescopic and, as such, have tended to have fewer eyes than traditional trotting rods. However, recent advances in technology have enabled more eyes to be fitted without increasing the number of telescopic sections and compromising rod action. |
