Drennan Series 7 Specialist Avon / Quiver Rods
These rods have two separate top joint systems. Use the standard top section for Avon style stalking, or for distance feeder work. Use the quiver top on rivers for feeders or bombs.
As you would expect from Drennan, these are high quality rods, made using premium fittings.
The Drennan Series 7 Specialist Avon rods are supplied with two separate top sections - a classic Avon float fishing top and an interchangeable quiver tip top, complete with 2 glass quiver tips.
There are two lengths of rod to choose from, either 12ft or an 11ft version. Both are available in test curves of 1.25lb and 1.5lb, and there is also a new 12ft 1.75lb test curve model.
The 1.25lb test curve versions have tips rated at 2oz and 3oz, and can be used with lines up to 8lb, and casting weights up to 2.5oz.
The 1.5lb rods are supplied with glass tips of 3oz and 4oz. They can be used with lines up to 10lb breaking strain and will cast 3oz leads with ease.
There is no doubt that these are excellent rods, perfect for so many kinds of fishing - from still water carp and tench through to river fishing for chub and barbel. You can trot with a centrepin or leger for barbel with the avon tip - or use the quiver tip with its interchangeable tips for chub and bream. Avon rods are the most versatile rods around, and these are amongst the best.
The 12ft 1.75lb test curve rod is the most powerful Specialist Avon Quiver in the range and is the ideal rod for the 'all rounder'. It is not only ideally suited for barbel and specimen chub on rivers, but is also excellent for distance tench and bream fishing on stillwaters or for taming hard fighting carp on commercials with bigger feeders. The two supplied feeder tips with this rod are 4oz glass and 6oz carbon, both with luminous white tips. Recommended reel mainlines are between 6lb and 10lb, with casting weights of up to 3oz maximum.
We are offering these great rods at below RRP!
