Designed by Rob Hitchens, this is the ultimate slow sinker, specially weighted to be as near to neutral buoyancy as possible - you can make it sink as slowly as you want. This helps you search out fish at all depths through the water and can be an absolutely devastating method.
The slow sinker, or 'Depth Charge' as its become known around Yorkshire, has accounted for some massive weights over 200lb when it has been difficult to catch on the pellet waggler or with a bait on the bottom.
The slow sinker is a really exciting method to fish as you are never putting the rod down and some of the bites simply wrap the rod around !
Simply attatch to the mainline by your desired method (normally a snap link swivel), then attatch your hooklength & bait. Calibrate the bomb or feeder by removing the blue plug and adding small shot (no8s and smaller are best), so that it only just sinks through the water. Make sure you plug the hole again before casting! (When using the feeder version the pellets want to release on impact with the water).
This exciting method searches all depths of your swim when fish are neither on the pellet wag line nor on the bottom, and can account for big catches or bonus runs of fish when other lines slow up.
