They are made from soft shell fabrics to keep you warm, but these fabrics are also very breathable so you won’t sweat on warmer days.

Gore-Tex Infinium Soft Shell

It has a higher loft, warmer, fabric in certain areas on the body to keep your vital organs warm in colder weather, but keeping lighter fabrics in areas where it's needed so your jacket is lighter to help with movement when fishing
