This float is a good all round pattern for river fishing where the water is moving. It's a perfect float for holding back and edging through in flowing water. The balsa body shape works well in slow water or when it has more pace when you need to hold back a bit.
The float is very stable due to the wire stem and round body combination, and the solid plastic tip ensures good buoyancy which helps if you are fishing a bit over depth.
The body shape is actually similar to Simon's Chop float and is based on a very old Italian chub fishing float called an "Umbertide", which was only ever available in very small sizes but was great on the River Tevere.
Other features include a wire stem for fast setting, and a solid plastic bristle.
Available in 7 sizes ranging from 0.75g to 3.0g
