What personal information about customers does Matchman Supplies gather?
The information we gather from customers helps us personalise and continually improve your shopping experience at Matchman Supplies.
Here are the types of information we gather.
Information You Give Us
This will include information about you that you give us by filling in forms on our Site, by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. It also includes information you provide when you register to use our Site, search for a product or place an order on our Site, and may include your name, address, e-mail address and phone number. When you place orders with us you will provide us with financial and credit card information. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128-bit encryption by the financial institutions we use (e.g. Paypal).
Automatically collected Information
When you visit the Site we automatically receive and will store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. Examples of the information we collect and analyse include the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information such as browser type and version, operating system, and platform; purchase history; the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) clickstream to, through, and from our Site, including date and time; cookie number; and products you viewed or searched for.
We will use this information:

Does Matchman Supplies share the information it receives?

Once we have received your information, we will use appropriate and robust procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access to your information and to meet our obligations to you under Data Protection legislation. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology.
Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our Site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our Site; any transmission is at your own risk.
What information can I access?
The Data Protection Act 1998 gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request will be subject to a fee of £20 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.You can add or update certain information on pages such as those listed in the "My Account" pages.When you update information, we usually keep a copy of the prior version for our records.
